Non-profit gets BK kids ready for school

BROOKLYN - Operation Backpack is helping Brooklyn school kids get ready for the 2012-2013 school year.

The non-profit group is trying to fill 11,000 backpacks with donated supplies from crayons and notebooks to scientific calculators so that kids in homeless or domestic violence shelters can start the school year right.
