Non-profit group sharing public pianos throughout city

SUNSET PARK - Brooklyn residents will have a chance to perform their own piano concert in Sunset Park to help a local non-profit group. The organization, Sing for Hope, links professional artists to volunteer service programs that benefit communities, schools and hospitals. The group will place 21 pianos across the city this summer. Each piano has been decorated by local artists, as they were when the program came to the area last year. Volunteers roll the pianos out each morning, and store them away each night. The instruments are open to both aspiring musicians and anyone wishing to play.
