BROOKLYN - Police say a woman working for a Brooklyn non-profit stole thousands from the city.

Tyess Crespo, 36, who worked for a senior citizen center, is charged with attempted grand larceny.

Investigators say she submitted false documents asking for reimbursement. Crespo could face up to four years in prison if convicted.
