Notorious B.I.G. documentary premieres in Brooklyn

DUMBO - A new documentary exposes details about rapper The Notorious B.I.G.'s final days.

"Raw Deal: The Last B.I.G. Night" premiered in Brooklyn today, one day after the 17th anniversary of Biggie Smalls' unsolved murder.

The story is centered around Gene Deal, who was part of the security detail for Sean “Diddy” Combs. In the film, Deal recounts a trip to Los Angeles with Combs and The Notorious B.I.G.

The security guard was with the rappers the night of the shooting. Deal says he had a hunch something was wrong the moment he got to Los Angeles.

The director of the documentary says it was meaningful to debut the film in Brooklyn, where Biggie was born and raised. They'll be screening the film across the country in the coming weeks.
