EAST NEW YORK - The New York attorney general is now investigating Monday's deadly shooting by an off-duty police officer in East New York.

The off-duty NYPD officer is calling it a road rage incident.

According to police, the officer was driving his personal vehicle Monday morning when he was involved in a traffic dispute with 37-year-old Delrawn Small.

Police say Small got out of his car at a red light and began punching the officer through an open window.

The officer responded by shooting Small.
