BROOKLYN - The New York State Parole Board is pushing to install metal detectors in offices after a parolee shot his officer recently.

Ex-con Roberto Morales shot his parole officer in the shoulder at an office in Brooklyn on April 15.

The state wants to begin installing the detectors through a pilot program.
