NY's attorney general suing ExxonMobil for Greenpoint oil spill

BROOKLYN - New York's attorney general is planning to sue ExxonMobil and four other companies over the Greenpoint oil spill.Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) is taking the action because of how long it's taken to clean up the $17 million spill. ExxonMobil accepted responsibility for most of the spill in 1990, but oil has been under homes and businesses for decades.Exxon maintains it is committed to the cleanup. The company is already facing several lawsuits related to the oil spill.
