NYC eateries must show letter grades

BROOKLYN - The New York City Board of Health voted Tuesday to require all restaurants to display letter grades near entrances.

The grades signify cleanliness during the last health inspection. A letter grade of ?A? is the best. However, any establishment that scores lower is given time to improve conditions.

The department of health says most city restaurants maintain very good or excellent conditions. The new measure is designed to give the public an easy way to access health information.
