THE BRONX - Over a hundred teens got a chance to be a NYPD “Top Cop” for the day.

About 130 teens across the five boroughs were winners of a writing contest and were given the opportunity to work as police chiefs and deputy commissioners.

Some teens wrote essays on improving relations between police and communities.

Other winners wrote about helping the young residents in the area.
