BROOKLYN - A pair of NYPD boats has been dedicated to two fallen detectives.

Patrick Rafferty and Robert Parker were killed in 2004 while responding to a call over a fight in East Flatbush. Their names are now etched into the side of two top-of-the-line boats.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly presided over the naming ceremony this morning at the Brooklyn Harbor Unit Base.

The detectives' families say that both men loved boating, and this is the perfect way to honor their memory.

Police say the two detectives were trying to arrest a criminal on domestic violence charges.
