BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - The NYPD filed nuisance abatement actions against two businesses suspected of selling synthetic marijuana known as K2.

The actions were filed against the Big Boy Deli and Dream Burner Smoke Shop at the corner of Broadway and Myrtle Avenue.

While they aren't criminal charges, the actions allow police to address quality-of-life issues in civil court.

A police raid of the smoke shop yielded no K2, but they were able to close down the business for the time being. A restraining order was issued against the deli for selling untaxed cigarettes.

Both businesses are set to appear in court Friday.

As News 12 has reported, five bodegas in Brooklyn were raided this week by police following a K2 overdoses that sent 33 to the hospital.
