NYPD Gaelic football match against FDNY to honor officers Dennis Guerra, Rosa Rodriguez
BROOKLYN - This year's annual Gaelic football match between New York's finest and bravest will be played in honor of two officers from Brooklyn.
Money raised through ticket sales will go to the families of NYPD officers Dennis Guerra and Rosa Rodriguez.
The two officers were overcome by carbon monoxide and smoke after they ran into a burning building in Coney Island last month. Guerra passed away from his injuries, and Rodriguez was hospitalized for six weeks.
