BROOKLYN - A hit-and-run driver struck a 6-year-old boy at Fort Hamilton Parkway and 41st Street in Borough Park Wednesday, police say.

Surveillance video shows a black minivan turning right through a red light and hitting the child.

In the video, a parent rushes to the child's aid and brings him across the street as the driver appears to stop for a moment, look at the damage to his car and then flee southbound on Fort Hamilton Parkway.

Police say the vehicle's license plates included the letters T-L-C.

The child was taken to Maimonides Medical Center with a dislocated hip and is expected to be OK.
