NYPD honored at BK law enforcement appreciation awards

BROOKLYN - Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes held a special ceremony today honoring Brooklyn's finest police officers and officials.

Hynes honored the distinct group with his law enforcement appreciation awards.

Those honored included decorated chiefs, community leaders, public servants and even a K-9 dog, all of which work to keep Brooklyn safe.

The district attorney says it is the 21st anniversary of the award ceremony.  He says he makes it a point to honor different people each year.
