NYPD installs 4 surveillance cameras in Fort Greene

FORT GREENE - The NYPD says it is boosting security in Fort Greene with the addition of  four new surveillance cameras in the neighborhood.

Officials say two cameras were installed near Atlantic Terminal, and another two cameras near the Walt Whitman Houses on Myrtle Avenue.  They also say the cameras can be monitored in real time.

Fort Greene residents say they have some mixed reactions to the installations.  While some welcome the new additions and call it an improvement in safety, others say it is an invasion of privacy.
