The NYPD is investigating a hate crime after a man was punched in the face on the subway as his aggressor yelled "go back to your country," according to police. (3/3/17)

BROOKLYN - The NYPD is investigating a hate crime after a man was punched in the face on a subway in Brooklyn as his attacker yelled "go back to your country," according to police.

The incident happened Wednesday afternoon on the J train. 

Police say a 27-year-old man was punched in the face and told to go back to his country. 

The NYPD's Hate Crime's Task Force is leading the investigation.

No arrests have been made.
