KENSINGTON - The NYPD says there's a person of interest it would like to talk to in the murder and near-decapitation of Kensington business owner.

Police say Mahuddin Mahmud, 57, was found brutally murdered in the basement of his store People Tech on McDonald Avenue. His burned and dismembered body was found by one of his brothers.

Relatives say Mahmud was a native of Bangladesh and the father of two young boys. Mahmud's brother says he had never been involved with anything criminal and doesn't know who would have done anything like that to him.

Police have not yet made any arrests, though NYPD Commissioner William Bratton says there was an apartment in the building's basement and they want to talk to its tenant.
