EAST NEW YORK - A man was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after police say he was shot in the head on a basketball court.

The shooting happened at around 3:30 p.m. at the Pink Houses on Stanley and Autumn avenues. Local residents say they're on edge because the shooting happened in the daytime when children and families were around.

The 21-year-old victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital, and is listed in critical condition.

No arrests have been made yet. Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
