BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - An NYPD officer was taken to the hospital last night after he was accidentally shot while responding to a call.

Police say the officer responded to a domestic dispute between a mother and her son on Halsey Street in Bed-Stuy last night. While trying to break up the argument, the officer's gun went off while it was holstered, hitting him.

The police officer was taken to Kings County Hospital and has been listed in stable condition.

An arrest was made at the scene related to the domestic dispute. No one else was injured.
