BROOKLYN - Police say they have a suspect in custody in connection with a string of armed robberies that targeted elderly women in Brooklyn and Queens.

The robberies began in January, according to investigators.

At least four of them happened in Brooklyn.

Police have identified the suspect as Clarence Jones, 64, but an official list of the charges against him was not immediately available.
