NYPIRG releases study on unsafe toys

The New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) released a study on unsafe toys and child products today.

BROOKLYN - The New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) released a study on unsafe toys and child products today.

The research group found 19 potentially dangerous products being sold at more than 30 stores throughout the state. The dangers include choking hazards, impact hazards, toxic substances, unsafe magnets and excessively loud toys.

A spokesperson for the Toy Industry Association says that all of the toys in the study meet strict federal guidelines.
