BROOKLYN - The controversial "Obama Fried Chicken" shop is changing its name due to mounting disapproval from neighbors and community activists.

Opponents of the name say it's racist, playing into negative stereotypes, but the manager says the owner chose the name because he respects the new president. After hearing the scores of complaints, however, he decided to listen to the people, changing the name to "Popular Fried Chicken."

The owner says the name change will cost about $7,000. And until the money is raised, people will need to wait for change.
