OCEAN HILL - An Ocean Hill couple was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of their 3-year-old daughter.

Police say they responded to a call about an unconscious child at 145 MacDougal St. shortly after midnight Thursday. The unresponsive child, Ginelis Jiminez, was taken to Interfaith Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Police say 24-year-old Michael Jiminez, the father of the 3-year-old, is being charged with second-degree murder. The mother, 23-year-old Kimberly Centos, faces charges of acting in a manner to injure a child.

Officials with the city?s child welfare agency say they are also investigating the case. Centos? family members say there has been a history of domestic abuse in the home.
