BROOKLYN - The Office of Emergency Management is reminding residents to stay safe during the warm temperatures.

It says to make sure to check on friends and family who are elderly or disabled.

Never leave children or pets alone in the heat.

Also, if it can be avoided, stay out of the sun and drinks plenty of water.
