BOROUGH PARK - The city's Office of Emergency Management will help some of the families displaced by an apparent gas explosion that killed two and injured more than a dozen people.

Many of the displaced residents are staying with relatives, but officials say that the OEM will provide hotel rooms to those who have no place to go.

Officials will also host a public information meeting on the incident at the Brooklyn Public Library on 43rd Street Wednesday at noon.

Investigators are still digging through the rubble to identify the cause of the explosion. Early reports suggested it may have happened because a stove was improperly disconnected, which resulted in a gas leak.

Other reports say that the blast may have been set off intentionally.

Police have identified one of the people killed in the blast as 64-year-old Ligia Puello. A second body was recovered, but officials have not confirmed the identity.

However, many believe the second body is that of Francesca Figueroa, 47, who has been missing since the blast.
