Off-duty transit cop hurt in Bed-Stuy shooting

BROOKLYN - Police say they're searching for two to three suspects after an off-duty bridge and tunnel officer was injured in a Bed-Stuy shooting last night.

Investigators say four or five armed men entered the DSG Auto Repair shop on Albany Avenue at around 8:30 last night.

Officials say that when the suspects noticed that armed Transit Authority Officer Anthony Presley was in the shop, they began to assault him. Police say Presley pulled out his gun and fired, and his assailants returned fire.

One suspect, a 19-year-old whose identity hasn't been released, was found in front of the shop with wounds to his leg and shoulder. Another suspect, who is 21 years old, checked himself into Interfaith Hospital with injuries to his neck and face. Both suspects are listed in stable condition.

Authorities say Presley is expected to recover after he was shot in the shoulder. The MTA says the officer works the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and has been on the force for 10 years.

Police say they are still searching for two to three more men as the investigation continues.
