BUSHWICK - A police officer was injured after nearly being run down by a car in Bushwick.

Officials say that the cop was on a scooter when he was cut off by a vehicle that fled the scene at Myrtle and Evergreen avenues Tuesday afternoon.

Police took two people into custody who they believe were driving a stolen car.

The officer suffered minor injuries after falling from his scooter, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
