NEW YORK - Authorities have rounded up 18 people for allegedly selling "party packs" of drugs and sex to coincide with this weekend's Super Bowl.

Officials say that the defendants organized cocaine and escorts for high-end clients, and would launder money through phony businesses.

According to state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman's office, the arrests come after an 11-month investigation by both state and city authorities.

Schneiderman's office says the ring would target wealthy out-of-town clients, especially during major New York City events, and that it increased advertising through text messages ahead of this Sunday's game.
