BROOKLYN - Officials say they are investigating after a 4-alarm fire killed two people in Bushwick tonight.

Firefighters say they responded to the fast-moving fire at 16 Covert St. just before 9:30 p.m. They say two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to authorities, one of the two victims may have jumped to his death while trying to escape the blaze. His body was found in a courtyard outside.

Fire officials say two firefighters also suffered minor injuries while battling the flames.
