Officials: 2 in hospital after Dyker Heights crash

A small child who was being pushed by his grandmother in a stroller was hit by a car Wednesday morning in Dyker Heights, officials say.

Authorities say a child and an adult were taken to the hospital after a crash near 67th Street and 11th Avenue.

DYKER HEIGHTS - A small child who was being pushed by his grandmother in a stroller was hit by a car Wednesday morning in Dyker Heights, officials say.

The crash occurred near 67th Street and 11th Avenue.

Witnesses say the child was struck as a driver hit another car that was turning onto 11th Avenue from 67th Street.

EMS took two people to Lutheran Hospital, including the child who police sources say had a cut on his head.  The child and other person are expected to be OK.

No charges have been filed against the driver who remained at the scene.
