Officials are warning people to be prepared for possibly dangerously hot temperatures in the days ahead.Officials with the NYC Office of Emergency Management says that

BROOKLYN - Officials are warning people to be prepared for possibly dangerously hot temperatures in the days ahead.

Officials with the NYC Office of Emergency Management says that it opens cooling centers when the temperatures get very hot, with water and air conditioning available, and recommends people stay out of the sun or find shade if outside for extended periods.

The MTA also says that all of its buses and subway cars are climate controlled.
