Officials call for buses to supplement subway service changes

BROOKLYN - Councilman Brad Lander (D-District 39) and the Straphangers Campaign are petitioning for the extension of bus services to help commuters affected by F and G train service changes.

Major service changes for the Manhattan-bound F train and the Queens-bound G train went into effect yesterday due to the Culver Viaduct Rehabilitation Project.

The project and subsequent changes are expected to last until fall 2012.
