BROOKLYN - The MTA and Department of Transportation want to improve the B46 bus line so commuters have better access to the buses, officials say.

They unveiled plans Monday night at New Life Tabernacle Church for the B46 bus route.

Officials say improvements will include more bus lanes, resurfaced streets, more sidewalk space, new fare machines and improved commuter shelters.

DOT officials say some changes have already been implemented, but more work is expected to be finished later in the spring.
