BROOKLYN - A new and improved plaza opened today in downtown Brooklyn.

City officials unveiled the newly enhanced Willoughby Plaza on the corner of Willoughby and Adams streets. The plaza features places to sit and eat, new trees and landscaping.

Organizers say the project cost nearly $2 million and took almost six years to complete.
