BROOKLYN - Kindergarten enrollment will soon get a lot easier in New York City.

The kindergarten application process is set to move online, and education officials promise it will be easier for parents who are enrolling their children in school.

New York City Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott announced the Kindergarten Connect program today during a visit to a kindergarten class.

For parents who don't have Internet access, the Department of Education says it will be working with libraries and the New York City Housing Authority to help parents apply online.

Kindergarten Connect will be launched citywide starting next year.
