BROOKLYN - Smoldering temperatures continued in Brooklyn on Friday.

Residents stayed cool at Brooklyn Bridge Park's water lab today, as parents and kids ran through sprinklers played with a variety of water contraptions.

Amid the hot temperatures, health officials are urging people to keep hydrated and wear plenty of sunscreen.
