BROOKLYN - NYC OTB employees protested in front of state Sen. Martin Golden's office in Bay Ridge today after the Senate voted against a plan that would have restructured the failing system and saved thousands of jobs.

The state-owned New York City OTB is laboring to emerge frombankruptcy. A shutdown would reverberate throughout the state's horse racing industry, threatening up to 70,000 jobs.
