P.S. 216 unveils city's first edible schoolyard

BROOKLYN - Students at P.S. 216 unveiled New York City's first edible schoolyard today.

The students planted seeds for fruits and vegetables as part of an Edible Schools program that aims to change the way children eat. The kids get to see their plants grow and use them for future meals.

Edible Schools says it plans to open 25 more gardens at schools across Brooklyn.
