P.S. 31 kids hope contest strikes a chord to save music programs

BROOKLYN - P.S. 31 is a top school for academics, but its arts programs have been cut dramatically due to budget cuts. Students are hoping to combat the cuts through a contest they've entered that would bring them a $50,000 prize. The Glee Give A Note contest would help bring music programs to the school.

Voting is done online. Teachers say many students don't have computers at home so they've been flooding the library to log on and vote before the contest ends on Nov. 7.Glee Give A Note Contest
