BROOKLYN - P.S. 34 held its annual Flag Day ceremony outside the school today.Nearly 500 children waved flags, marched, sang and danced along Eckford Street in Greenpoint to commemorate June 14, 1777, when the Continental Congress approved the design of a national flag.

The school has been holding a Flag Day celebration for the past 63 years.
