P.S. 9 floods after Prospect Heights storm

PROSPECT HEIGHTS - Several classrooms and the cafeteria in P.S. 9 flooded overnight after an evening storm that brought hail and torrential rain to Brooklyn.

Parents say pre-kindergarten to third-grade students were affected, with water being pumped out of 13 classrooms, the cafeteria and the school's music room. Students who use the 13 classrooms were taught in the auditorium.

The school's principal says the flood damage could take several days to repair.
