P.S. 90 in Coney Island wins Department of Transportation’s PSA contest

The fifth-graders were awarded a $1,000 grant for their video. (6/13/14)

BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn classroom has taken first place in an annual student PSA contest from the Department of Transportation. 

The fifth-graders from P.S. 90 in Coney Island were awarded a $1,000 grant for the winning public service announcement shot on the iconic boardwalk. 

More than 100 schools submitted videos for the competition, which aims to increase awareness about the importance of walking.
