BROOKLYN - Enraged parents say that the administration of the Secondary School for Journalism in Park Slope is falling apart and the city is doing nothing to help.

Despite Mayor Bill de Blasio recently announcing a major education plan for the city, parents and students of the Seventh Avenue school say they feel left out. The school has gone through three principals in the past four years and has seen a high rate of teacher turnover.

Parents say the school's administration is disorganized, and that the students are suffering for it. The situation became so bad last year that the students could not take their Regents exams because they were not properly taught.

The outraged parents say they simply want a qualified principal to turn the school around and give students the education they deserve.

Combating the claims is the Department of Education, which says the school's principal is well-qualified, and that it is looking into the other issues.
