Parents in East New York and Cypress Hills say a plan to place a charter school in the building where their children attend classes will

BROOKLYN - Parents in East New York and Cypress Hills say a plan to place a charter school in the building where their children attend classes will be counterproductive.

Parents say their kids' school, which houses both an elementary school - P.S. 89 - and a middle school - I.S. 302, will suffer if the Achievement First charter school is brought in to share space.

P.S. 89 students would be moved out of their Linwood Street building to help make room for the charter school.
