Parents: Local intersection is too dangerous

BROOKLYN - Parents say a local intersection is too dangerous for their kids to use to get to school.

They say the intersection of 7th Avenue and Fort Hamilton that also intersects with the Gowanus Expressway?s exit ramp is constantly congested with aggressive drivers who don't slow down when kids are trying to cross the street.

The Department of Transportation made some minor adjustments to the intersection after three mothers were struck by a car last year, but according to parents, it's not enough.

Officials say they are planning a presentation to Community Board 10 regarding the traffic conditions at the intersection in the coming weeks.
