BROOKLYN - A multimillion-dollar renovation of a Mapleton park is expected to be finished ahead of schedule.

Brooklyn Councilman David Greenfield said Gravesend Park would likely be reopened before October.

Once renovations of the park on 18th Avenue are complete, it will feature new swings, new basketball courts and new paths for walking and biking.

Many parents tell News 12 they are excited for the work to be completed and plan on coming to the park often.
