PARK SLOPE - The YMCA in the Park Slope Armory has reopened for the first time since Sandy swept through the borough last month.

The YMCA was closed to the public the Saturday before the storm hit so it could be used as a relief center to house more than 500 people who had been evacuated from their homes.

YMCA staff members pitched in with government agencies and other organizations at the shelter to help out those who were displaced.
