A Park Slope church honored one of New York's finest today for his outstanding work making the streets safer.

BROOKLYN - A Park Slope church honored one of New York's finest today for his outstanding work making the streets safer.

Officer Anthony Raghubir is with the 78th Precinct's Traffic Safety Unit. He was honored for his work by the Sixth Avenue Bible Baptist Church.

Each year, the church works with the precinct to honor a police officer. Raghubir was chosen for taking action after he saw a cab driver cut off a woman with a baby stroller and nearly strike her. It happened while she was crossing the street near Ninth Street and Sixth Avenue.

Rahubir says he wants drivers and pedestrians to pay more attention to the road.
