BROOKLYN - One Park Slope congregation is celebrating the Jewish holiday of Purim.

Congregation Beth Elohim celebrated with singing, dancing, face painting and games for children.

The congregation leaders say Purim is the victory of the Jews against people who had wished them ill.

They say the holiday is also a time to give back to the local community.
