PARK SLOPE - The Park Slope branch of the Brooklyn Public Library could close as long as two years due to renovations.

The library on 6th Avenue opened in 1906. It doesn't have amenities to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, including ramps. It will close on Oct. 30 for the renovations.

Though the library will be closed, the building will be getting many improvements. Among the renovations will be a ramp, elevator, new flooring, upgrades to the cooling system and machines to check out books on your own.

During the renovations, a bookmobile will be available for visitors.
